Our heroes are very important in our lives.  They help to shape our character and integrity.

This page is dedicated to our American Heroes, both military and civilian, who have helped to shape and lead our lives with integrity, honesty and commitment to do what's right.  We invite you, our readers and subscribers, to submit stories (and photos, if available) of someone who has made that kind of difference in your life.

Here's what we need

The full name of the person being recommended for inclusion on this page
A small photo (head and shoulders)
Their year of birth (and death, if appropriate)
A brief story to describe why you believe they are your hero
Your name and relationship to the individual you're recommending.  It is not necessary for you to be related to the person you're recommending.  It may be someone in your own community, or someone you've heard of in the news for accomplishments in government, sports, business, education, the military, etc.

Public figures may be recommended.

Inclusion will be the sole decision of our editorial staff.
